(Still playing catch-up!)
Today I am thankful for my country. Having spent some time in a former communist country, I've gotten a look at what it might be like to not have the freedoms I enjoy. Most of all, I'm thankful that I get a say in who governs my country. I might not always get what I want, but I get a voice. What I think matters. And if I don't like what's going on, I have the right to say something about it. I have the freedom to attend the church I choose, or even whether to attend at all. I have the freedom to earn money and to spend it however I choose. There are many things I take for granted in my life, but I hope my freedom is never on that list.
